where the lion walks on three legs

i'm proud of the guys' team, that they tried, just as i'm proud of the girls' team that we tried. i know that it's disappointing when you know you didn't put in your best, cos the opponent overwhelms you and you start to crumble inside and you have pressure building up on our back. for girls, it's easy -- the outlet is for tears to flow, and sobs to magnify; for guys, they'll hold back, and maybe just as well, so they don't seem weak to others. or perhaps, they are experienced -- they know the feeling of losing, and it's just another learning point to take home for them. we had a close fight for our fourth game, but we conceded it to our opponents in the end. the scoreline was one-sided. wednesday 4th may will be our attempt to push nj squash one more step up the ladder. never should we lose grasp of infinite hope. nus found this quote by martin luthur king, something that goes .. we must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. the lion on three still stands tall; why shouldn't we put up a fight and make this lion count?

the only two interviews that i attended were, according to meiting, the better ones. and both of them are in the run for interact ex-co. :) and again, interact and squash have to fall on the same day. :
